As far as I am aware there is no March intake for Midwifery in the area - I have applied to Salford, Manchester, UCLAN, Edge Hill and LJM. From memory they used to do the March intake on the Diploma course, which they no longer do for Midwifery.
GCSE maths is a must - but check with the unis you are applying to, they may accept Numeracy Level 2 which you can do at a local learndirect centre. |

Hi - with regards to the bursary check out this link http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/students there is a calculator on that site too so you can get a good idea of how much you will be likely to receive.
Yes - it is very difficult to get in. When I went for my Interview at Salford we were told that out of 500+ applications, they interview around 200ish for 40 places!
Manchester Uni have more applications but they do have slightly more places - 60 from memory.
LJM and Edge Hill only have around 20 places each!!!!
I am still waiting to hear from Salford - my interview was on 1st December and the waiting it killing me
Good luck x |
