Sleeping position Is it normal for the baby to sleep on his back with his head turned towards his right hand side most of the time? I am a bit worried, as the last few days I noticed a small bone to appear on the right at the back of his head. I have tried to put him sleep on his back with head turned towards his left hand side, but he doesn’t like it and goes back to his preferred sleeping position.
It is difficult to ensure that baby is not on one side of its head all the time. There are some things you can do to help prevent it. Baby should have supervised time on his front during the day, so that his head has a chance to adjust. Also, try turning babies head to the other side when he is in his pram/moses basket/rocker etc. Do mention this to your Health Visitor at you next appointment so that he/she can assess the head in person.
