When can I fall pregnant again?

When can I fall pregnant again?

Whilst I’m still bleeding from giving birth (lochia?) and breast feeding, is it possible to fall pregnant again?

Yes it is possible to become pregnant when you are still bleeding and breastfeeding. This is because you ovulate before your period. If you are concerned please see your GP or family planning clinic where they can advise about appropriate contraception suitable and safe for breastfeeding mothers if that is what you want.
