I have had mild contractions after sex, is this normal?

It's not unusual to feel mild uterine contractions after intercourse during pregnancy, this response is normal and the contractions, although different to the regular Braxton hick's contractions, are not labor pains. If contractions continue for more than an hour after intercourse, get noticeably stronger or you start to bleed, then please contact your midwife immediately
